#3: Fail. Try Again - 1 Piano Video, 8 Goaltending Principles

This is the 3rd in an 8-part series related to the video below...

As you can tell, I'm not an elite piano player. I'm not an electrifying musician. In this video, I hope you can see that I'm nervous. My hands shake. I stumble, I miss, but I keep going. I try again. Just like you can every day you're in the net.

Failure is a part of life. It's interwoven in athletics.

One team wins, one team fails.

You can fail hundreds or thousands of times, and it's all worth it if you learn each time.

It's worth it if you try again. Just try again.

I purposely left all those mistakes in the video. I'm not perfect, why should I try to make it look like I am!?

I want you to see and understand that it's ok to fail. It's ok to miss. It's ok to fall short. We all fall short.

But you try again. And again as necessary.

If things were easy, everyone would do it! It's not easy to put yourself out there! There will be plenty of times in goaltending and in life that you must take a risk that may not pan out. You may fall flat on your face. You may miss a note.

But try again. Understand your path. Adjust. Try again.

I'm not perfect, you're not perfect. But we can try our best every day to become just a little better.

Stay frosty, friends.

Josh
