Owner CPGS, Toronto Maple Leafs Goalie Coach
Steve has had a burning passion for goaltending since a ripe young age of 8. He idolized NHL greats like Patrick Roy, Johnny Bower, Terry Sawchuck, and Ken Dryden.
When Steve was 15, he moved away from home to begin playing Juniors in Trail, British Columbia. After Trail, Steve went on to play in the USHL for Omaha, then Sioux City, before accepting a full scholarship at the University of Alabama-Huntsville (UAH).
After 3 years and a National Championshp at UAH, Steve turned Pro, signing with the Boston Bruins organization. Steve enjoyed a 9-year professional career, playing much of it in Fife, Scotland, where he met his wife, and started a family.

When finished playing professionally, Steve returned to UAH to pursue an MBA and coach their goaltenders, including now-NHLer, Cam Talbot (Edmonton).
After UAH, Steve began coaching in the USHL (Omaha, Fargo, Des Moines), the NAHL (Topeka, Johnstown), and the WSHL (Casper).
Steve has worked with and learned from one of the best: Mitch Korn. Mitch was Steve's goalie coach for a time while he was a Pro, and still considers him a mentor and close friend.
Steve has been with the Toronto Maple Leafs for 4 seasons, and has loved every minute.
"It's a grind, no doubt, but it's the best thing I've ever been a part of and I'm so grateful to be a part of such a storied franchise." - Steve Briere
