The Bemidji Elite Training Camp is one of our best of the summer!
The Elite Training camp at Bemidji is a highly competitive environment for goaltenders aged 15+ (1999-2005 for Summer 2020) where we can all get on the ice and train together against NCAA DI shots. Every year, we bring out the Bemidji State University NCAA Division I players to shoot on our goalies, as well as top high school players from the area.
Intense, Unique, Innovative Training:
Intensity: Our Elite camps are for dedicated goaltenders. Training is rigorous and we do expect full effort from all athletes. This camp best suits AAA, High School, and Junior goaltenders who are committed to getting to their next level.
Unique and Innovative: The coaching staff at CPGS brings the experience of coaching from countries around the world such as Canada, USA, Switzerland, Finland and the UK, giving a unique and well-rounded perspective of the different techniques and philosophies of goaltending. This unique environment allows goaltenders to benefit and adapt to whichever technique works best for them.
Fun: We ensure that each and every attendee enjoys this unforgettable experience. Aside from goaltending we provide a variety of outdoor activities to allow the continuation and importance of working as a team. These activities include:
- Soccer & more!
Specifics: The Elite Camp provides 15 hours of on-ice instruction over 5 days. There is also at least 5 hours of goalie specific dry land training. Included in the dry land training is plyometrics and goalie reactionary drills, which are goalie specific. In addition to goaltender-specific off-ice drills, overall athleticism is trained and developed. Goaltenders also receive 5 hours of seminar and video sessions nightly. Seminar sessions include:
- Information on Junior and College Hockey
- Forming Goals & Developing A Plan for Success
- Mental Strength Training
- Video Analysis
- And maybe even some guest speakers!
