Intermediate Elite Camp

Our trio of Elite Training Camps provides different, highly competitive experiences.  In mid-July, we hold a camp exclusively for "intermediate" goalies...Peewee and Bantam aged goalies.

We recognize that goalies in this age bracket are in an interesting 'in-between' age, and that skills built during this prime development season can pay huge dividends in midgets/high school and beyond.

Intermediate Camp Mission

About Intermediate Elite

Maximize your growth.

We recognize that goalies in this age range experience a range of different challenges. They may have outgrown some aspects of their current training, but are not yet ready to play against older athletes. Their bodies are still getting to the point of development, but the onset of puberty changes body mechanics in a fundamental way. Even their gear represents a transition period...sized as "intermediate" for a reason.

It is important that goalies in this period in their careers understand that the changes in their age and bodies mean that changes in the way they play are required. As much as possible, we encourage goalies to play their own style. No two goalies are the same. However, we want to instill principles now while goalies are in this crucial stage of development.

Intense, Unique, Innovative Training:

Intensity:

This camp is for dedicated and committed goaltenders. We have a great schedule with long ice times and an intense off-ice aspect as well. Coaches and athletes are expected to push each other. All boats rise with the tide.

Unique and Innovative:

The coaching staff at CPGS brings experienced coaching from countries around the world including Canada, USA, Switzerland, Finland and the UK. This provides a unique and well-rounded perspective of the different techniques and philosophies of goaltending. There is no one way to play goalie! We want to draw out the individual strengths of each goaltender.

Fun:

We ensure that each and every attendee enjoys this unforgettable experience. In addition to on-ice sessions, we will hold off-ice teamwork and leadership activities throughout the week. Goalies are called to be leaders of their teams, and we want to equip them to be exactly that.
